Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is owned by the Indigenous Land Corporation and manages tourism and resort operations across Australia on their behalf. Operating a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts in often remote locations, Voyages faces unique operational challenges around staffing, compliance, and asset management consistency.

Previous CMMS implementations had repeatedly fallen short. The problems were consistent: systems too complex for a high-turnover hospitality workforce, too rigid to meet statutory compliance requirements for hotel and resort operations, and too fragmented to give the national head office any meaningful visibility into day-to-day operations across the portfolio.

MCGlobal identified that voyages needed a CMMS solution that was genuinely easy to use, met statutory requirements for hotel and resort facilities, and gave management a clear, centralised view of maintenance operations, without adding training burden to a workforce that was constantly changing.

MCGlobal implemented a single, centrally hosted CMMS solution covering all of Voyages’ resort sites across Australia. For the first time, the national head office had complete, real-time visibility of daily maintenance operations across the entire property portfolio.

Ease of use was the central design principle throughout. Given the realities of hospitality, high staff turnover and varied technical literacy, the CMMS needed to be learned in minutes, not days. As such, MCGlobal Solutions implemented a system that allowed maintenance requests to be raised with little to no formal training, allowing both new and existing staff to log jobs quickly and accurately from day one without disrupting operations.

In addition, MCGlobal embedded statutory compliance into the workflow from the outset. This resulted in work orders being structured and actively monitored to prevent backlogs, maintain safety standards, and ensure Voyages could demonstrate compliance across all hotel and resort sites as a matter of routine, not as a manual effort.
