The first stage of the MC Global Birkdale office expansion is now complete with a doubling of the floor size of the original office.

The key improvements have been the creation of a new meeting and training room, a separate administration and marketing area, work bays for IT support, software development and implementation consultants and the upgrade of the reception area.

The meeting and training area includes video conferencing facilities which are being used to keep in touch with our local and overseas customers, our MCG UK office and our developing world-wide partner network.

While we still place a great deal of importance on dealing with people on a face-to-face basis, the ability to see, discuss and share information via this facility enables us to maximise our working day and reduce costs for our customers. The Australian MC Global team uses the conferencing area for their weekly meeting to ensure all staff are kept up-to-date on the latest customer and software developments and to share ideas to provide a continually better product and service.

Expansion of MC Global in Australian and UK/Europe has lead to the construction of dedicated fully-connected work stations where the service team can work separately or in groups as required. We have taken into account the need for individuals to have room to work and concentrate on their own particular tasks, while maintaining the ability to discuss topics with fellow staff. And when the formal work stations are not the best place to contemplate the difficult problems, a coffee on the lounges can provide the best alternative.
