The CMMS can also be used as a common access point to retrieve approved procedures and work instructions.
Auditors want to see a track-able history of what was done, when it was done, who was responsible, inspection history, clear instructions and safety procedures etc all documented on a particular item or piece of equipment. A well implemented CMMS can accurately and easily search historical work orders and related data of an asset and generate a report that will satisfy regulatory agencies to meet the necessary standards.
